If you are looking to utilize your propane-powered cooking accessories this holiday, we have three amazing recipes you can try. From oven-baked to deep-fried to smoked, any way you cook it, just make sure your propane tank is full and your ingredients are on hand before the big feast!
Savory Brined Turkey Recipe
1 quart water
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup kosher salt
10 ounces soy sauce
2 tablespoons dried sage
2 tablespoons celery seeds
1 tablespoon dried thyme
1 (10- to 20-pound) Fresh or Frozen Whole Turkey, thawed if frozen
2 quarts ice-cold water
Nonstick cooking spray
- Bring 1 quart water to a boil in a medium saucepan over high heat.
- Remove from heat. Add sugar and salt; stir until dissolved. Stir in soy sauce, sage, celery seeds and thyme; set aside to cool.
- Remove neck and giblets from body and neck cavities of turkey. Refrigerate for another use or discard. Pat turkey dry with paper towels.

Deep Fried Turkey Recipe
13-14 lb turkey (giblets removed)
Kinder’s Buttery Poultry Blend to taste
4- 4.5 gal oil (preferably peanut oil)
2 Tbsp oil
- Remove bag and giblets from turkey and dry as much as you can with paper towels, making sure no moisture is present on the turkey.
- Place the oil in the stock pot and set over med/high heat on an outside propane burner.

Smoked Turkey Recipe
1 15-pound turkey defrosted
2-3 Tablespoons olive oil or melted butter
2-3 Tablespoons Sweet Rub
- Preheat whatever type of grill you are using for indirect smoking at 225 degrees F. If you’re using gas, turn on half of the burners to medium-low and leave the other half off.
