Did you know that October is breast cancer awareness month?
In an effort to support the cause, Paraco was a major sponsor of the Making Strides for Breast Cancer Walks at five locations throughout New York and Connecticut. Paraco employees volunteered their time and came out to help at the various stations meeting and greeting the Walkers, taking pictures in the photo booths, providing water bottles, and distributing Paraco giveaways.
Hundreds of thousands of dollars have been raised from the Walks to support research dedicated to preventing and curing breast cancer.
Here are the results from the Paraco Walks:
Westchester County – Manhattanville College
20,000 Walkers
$1.1 million raised, and counting!
Central Hudson Valley – Woodbury Commons
9,000 Walkers
$450,000 raised, and counting!
Nassau County – Jones Beach, Long Island
This is the largest Walk in the Country!
There were 60,000 Walkers, and more than $2.6 million has been raised, and counting!
Fairfield County – Sherwood Island, CT
7,500 Walkers
$350,000 raised, and counting!
Suffolk County, Riverhead, Long Island, Suffolk Community College
2,000 Walkers
$210,000 raised and counting!
