Benjamin Modeen

Benjamin (Ben) Modeen, Inside Sales Manager, Saugerties NY reports to Charlie Buonincontri, Director of Sales.  An assertive, self-motivated, bright and goal-oriented sales professional, Ben wears several hats with many responsibilities.  Overseeing the Inside Sales team, Ben effectively supports company objectives with an uplifting attitude and savvy sales strategies fostering team training and spirit, mentorship, effective coaching and articulate communications.  He strives to ensure the full potential of each team member is unleashed through effective coaching and guidance.

Charlie nominated Ben, sharing “I have worked indirectly with Ben over the past several years and closely in the past year, with Ben reporting to me directly. I have been getting to know him on a personal as well as professional level, and have really come to know what he is about and what motivates him. I see Ben as an individual striving to learn, absorbing everything he experiences; and he absorbs like a sponge!  Ben displays great leadership skills, exemplified by the trust his team has in him. Ben has also garnered respect from his constituents as he is always there to support their departments and Paraco whenever he can. I enjoy mentoring Ben and seeing him take a path to great professional growth in the future.  He has been a great asset and addition to my team, and I look forward to what the future holds with Ben as part of the Paraco family”.

James Laurey

James Laurey is the Regional Area Manager for the Hudson Valley Area.  Reporting to Jeff Palen, General Manager – Northeast Region, James is integral in our fast-paced culture where spot-on leadership, operational efficiencies and a safety-first mentality are crucial. James is tasked with driving customer satisfaction through the ownership of his designated branches’ daily execution.  This largely means inspiring his team to success under the main realms of excellence in customer service, order delivery, and warehousing.

James is a proven leader and manager; owning, adhering to and executing prime standards for all branch processes for his team comprised of front line drivers, dock/yard staff, and service technicians.

Jeff nominated James to this Spotlight, sharing that “James is an extremely valued member of the Northeast Region Leadership team.  He leverages his industry expertise and provides the organization with valuable insights which have helped grow and push our objectives forward.  James is always quick to step up and provide support and guidance for his peer group and work directly along with his team members when needed.  We are truly grateful to have him on our team!”

Kelly Stafford, NE Service Office Manager works closely with James and adds, “James is a dependable and supportive peer. We have worked together for many years and I admire the way he has worked his way up the ladder from driver, to tech, to safety auditor, and now management.
