Employee Spotlight : The “WOW” Factor – These Two Have It
Jimmy Leach | Tireless, Devoted & Invaluable
Jimmy, from our Shirley, NY location reports to Dan Scicutella, General Manager Long Island, and oversees every single aspect of Shirley’s Service Department. Jimmy’s responsibilities are numerous, and his robust skill set ensures all the department’s needs are successfully met.
A workday in the life of Jimmy includes managing Technicians, and supervising and mentoring all field staff; ultimately providing his team with the tools to thrive with a positive work ethic and be proud of what they do every day. Oversight of the Shirley facility means Jimmy is responsible for ensuring that all safety, plant maintenance, and compliance measures are met and adhered to; collaborating with other departments; and formulating and implementing appropriate policies, goals and objectives. And these are just a few of his responsibilities.
As far as Jimmy’s background is concerned, he’s a skilled mentor with many years of management experience. Quick on his feet, Jimmy is detail oriented, deadline driven and highly organized. Bob nominated Jimmy to this Spotlight and says about Jimmy, “Jimmy is very aware that the future of Paraco involves the Apprentices. He works tirelessly to get the newer members their Hazmat endorsements and license requirements, as well as training to help elevate employees’ value and skill sets. Jimmy’s focus on customer satisfaction along with leading the Operations and Sales bimonthly calls help to remove “walls” and is invaluable.”
Paul Komorowski, Service Supervisor, had many words of praise to share with us about Jimmy stating, “I can’t say enough great things about Jimmy. Jimmy is always there for me in any situation to offer advice or lend a hand. He is very well spoken and goes above and beyond with the care he gives to each and every person who works in the Service Department. Even if it’s after hours or on the weekends, Jimmy is always available and willing to help whenever he is needed. It’s a pleasure to work for Jimmy and I look forward to working with him in the years to come.”
Scott G. | Insightful & Instrumental
Scott, our Business Intelligence Administrator, works from our Saugerties, NY office and reports to Megan Carr, Senior Manager, Business Intelligence & Analytics. Scott’s role requires extensive communications and data administration skills. Working closely with many departments, Scott oversees our data integrity and is essential in finding and communicating data integrity issues. He collects marketing data for our sales initiatives along with other needs like auditing new accounts. In general, Scott identifies areas for improvement, business insights and procedural updates.
Scott’s diverse background ranging from IT to field experience gives him a global perspective on our business, which is instrumental when fielding requests for data.
Megan, who nominated Scott to this Spotlight, likes to refer to Scott as “the man behind the curtain” because Scott is the person behind DOMO, a cloud software company specializing in business intelligence tools and data visualization. DOMO, which stores much of our KPIs and reporting metrics, is used for data governance and analyses. Bottom line — Scott is our DOMO guru.
Megan says Scott “comprehensively digests the data, creating insights which can be applied to more than just the initial request. Scott diligently and carefully crafts how the data is joined and presented within DOMO. Meticulous in his job, Scott never cuts corners even if it would make his life easier. His uncanny ability to anticipate future needs has transformed the strategy in DOMO’s structure, not only creating cleaner data paths, but also allowing the Business Intelligence team to furnish and streamline requests much faster.”
Art Ravo, Vice President – Supply Chain says, “Scott can be counted on to go over and above the call of duty for any assigned task. Coming up through the ranks, Scott understands our business, and he has applied this knowledge to DOMO. When starting a new project, Scott digs deep and asks questions you hadn’t thought you needed an answer to, ensuring you get the data required.”
