Today marks a significant milestone for Paraco as we celebrate our first annual Founders Day, a day dedicated to expressing gratitude for the visionary leader who laid the foundation for our success.
In 1968, Pat Armentano ignited the spark that would evolve into Paraco, starting the business humbly in a garage in Mount Vernon, New York. While our roots were initially in industrial gas, a pivotal transition to propane in 1979 paved the way for our continued growth.
On this special day, we reflect on the enduring entrepreneurial spirit that permeates every corner of our organization, a spirit that has weathered hardships and sacrifices. We take a moment to honor the legacy of our founder and the relentless drive that propels us forward.
As part of our Founders Day tradition, we proudly announce the recipient of the 6th Annual Pat Armentano Legacy Award. This prestigious honor is bestowed upon individuals who embody the values and dedication that define our Founder, Pat Armentano. We are thrilled to reveal that this year’s deserving recipient is Scott Tucker, our Operations Process Manager based in Saugerties, New York.
The award ceremony, held at our Corporate Headquarters in Rye Brook, New York, served as a testament to the commitment and excellence that Scott brings to our organization. Reporting directly to Megan Carr, Director of Logistics and Business Intelligence, Scott exemplifies the true spirit of a team player.
Megan Carr commends Scott’s exceptional contributions, stating, “Scott embodies the essence of a true team player. Always willing to jump in, problem-solve, and assist on projects, Scott puts the needs of the company, employees, and customers first. Much of Scott’s work revolves around meticulously crafted processes that consider all aspects of the business, from individual impact to financial implications. He collaborates seamlessly with the entire Paraco team to enhance, develop proper procedures, and implement processes that elevate the company, all while optimizing outstanding customer service.”
