Paraco’s Cylinder Refurbishing Facility Grand Opening a Big Hit

The Grand Opening of this state-of-the-art facility in Waterbury, CT on April 26th was a big success, with approximately 65 people in attendance. The day started off a little cold, windy and cloudy with the sun trying to peak through for a look itself, but turned out to be a nice spring day, helping to greet Paraco’s memorable occasion.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony started with opening remarks and breakfast, an introduction and history of the facility, and personal salutations by members of Paraco’s executive team including Joseph Armentano, CEO.  The actual ribbon-cutting ceremony included a photo session, tour of the facility and closing remarks.

Acting as a BBQ grill cylinder and residential tank refurbishment center, the new plant offers employment for many Waterbury residents, enables production of over 1.3 million units annually, and allows Paraco to maintain control over its product quality while keeping costs competitive within the market.  With a safety-first mentality, the new facility promotes improved safety and efficiency of gas delivery throughout the Northeast by filling cylinders at the site by trained fillers, eliminating the less safe method of customer facility on-site tank filling.  Paraco’s investment in this cylinder reconditioning plant positions the company to expand its cylinder exchange business throughout the Northeast and bring new jobs to the community.
